Big Adventures in a Small World:

Travel Blogs

I love to travel and I savour adventure. I have been everywhere, from Zambia to Guatemala, from Barcelona to the Big Sur, but I’m still on a continuous lookout for new adventurous opportunities; whether it is dog sledding, climbing a volcano or simply sleeping under the stars.  I believe travel and adventure is defined within our own minds - it can include a trip to a local park or a trek up Kilimanjaro.

My travel philosophy:

Don’t ask for too much; always look for the good in everything and you will get a lot in return.  Respect everyone and everything no matter where you are.  Leave the beaten path without leaving a footprint... and plant a tree - sometimes figuratively speaking - if you can. The people you meet along the way (even an unlikely place such as a bus stop) are often part of the most memorable experiences.  Of course, hope for the best but plan for the worst.  And above all, know that the unexpected WILL happen so enjoy each moment  for what it is - it's part of the adventure!

Don’t ask for my travel/adventure bucket-list, it’s much too long to list here!  Check out my blogs on the right for more on some of these journeys or check out a few of the places I’ve been so far in my Photography gallery.   And drop me a line if you want to know more or share travel/adventure tips, ideas, stories or photos!
